What can a goldfish teach us about the nature of reality? Because it lives in a round bowl of water, a goldfish sees a distorted picture of the outside world. It would have a different picture of reality than we do. But how do we know that we have the right picture? We might also be in some giant goldfish bowl. There is no unique picture of reality. The goldfish’s view is as valid as our own.
